One of the best things about having kids is that it allows me to be sappy with my own parents again. I haven’t lived near my folks in a long time, and we’d really fallen out of touch with each other over the years. But then the kiddos came along and everything’s changed. Since we don’t get to see them very often, the kids & I try to send little things their way to let them know we’re thinking of them. Not to long ago, we were playing with the mountain of restaurant crayons we have managed to accumulate. This was the end result. Looks just like a Texas sunset – and I feel just as warm and glowy when I see my kids playing with my Mom & Dad.

WOW, that came out really nice Denice! You are so clever :) I bet your parents loved it. I've always been pretty close to my parents. I'm only sorry my dad didn't live long enough to enjoy his grandkids.
